Project | 01 Content Strategy and Management

It began with a need:  Extend and improve upon the user experience with the organization's digital products while minimizing internal resource consumption and duplication of efforts. The implemented strategy brought forth a cultural change in how the organization views, uses, and champions performance support (aka, user assistance /documentation) and single-source content. The result: Decreased content redundancy/resource consumption and increased content accuracy, efficacy, and ultimately user satisfaction.

Project | 02 Onboarding and Coaching

Statistics compiled by Click Boarding, an onboarding software company in Eden Prairie, Minn., show that 69 percent of employees are more likely to stay with a company for three years if they experienced great onboarding. With this and other compelling evidence in mind a structured onboarding program, complete with a strong in-field coaching experience, was created for a biotech company. The result yielded an increase in novice-to-intermediate proficiency while reducing training costs and timing by 35 percent.

Project | 03 Integrated Technical Communication and Performance Learning

It's an occurrence we know too well: Training dollars are cut, resources are reduced, and the call to do more with less echoes throughout organizations everywhere. How can Instructional Designers and Technical Writers, who now find themselves doing dual roles, tackle this seemingly insurmountable task? This was the question posed by the Society of Technical Communication (STC), Chicago chapter, which presented an opportunity to instruct and inspire this group professionals to think differently in how we help people perform on the job.
